| Camelback Canyon Art Show - Photos |
Despite a rare rainy Arizona weekend, on September 18-19 more than 200 people came to see the work of artists Laurie Fagen (fiber art), Sharon Goldman (pottery), Wendy Fallon (environmental oils and watercolors), Kevin Caron (sculpture, fountains and bells), Bob Allen (mixed media), Cynthia McCoy (fine jewlery) and Karen Nestor (food). The photos below don't convey the sound of laughter and great conversation, the delicious taste of Karen's laden table, but we hope they give you an idea of the weekend.
Bob Allen and Pat McInteer in their gallery. Bob's work was shown through several hallways and into the dining room.
Wendy Fallon displayed and sold her beautiful watercolors and oils, both paintings and notecards.
Cynthia McCoy's fine jewelry was a big hit - this room was often full of fans!
Laurie Fagen's fiber art came in the form of wall pieces, notecards and clothing. Her vests were really popular.
Sharon Goldman's amazing pottery attracted lots of attention - and accounted for a lot of holiday gifts!
We were pleased to raffle Camelot Therapeutic Horsemanship's beautiful painting of Cayanna, one of
the program's horses.
Just Great Food supplied the delicious nibbles for the two days.
Kevin Caron's work was mostly outside. Despite the rain, many people spent hours enjoying the sculpture garden,
beneath the watchful eye of Camelback Mountain's Praying Monk.
