 Using the air hammer and English wheel, Kevin is creating a new piece. Some people say it looks like a flame; others say it resembles a pen nib or a yoga hand gesture.

The first photo shows the piece's two sides partially connected. Kevin is working the two sides against each other, forming it into a single piece....

The second photo shows the first section of the sculpture.

The third photo shows what it looked like before he cut it out of a flat sheet of steel and began working it.
