 Using the air hammer and English wheel, Kevin is creating a new piece. Some people say it looks like a flame; others say it resembles a pen nib or a yoga hand gesture.

The first photo shows the piece's two sides partially connected. Kevin is working the two sides together, and has now added another piece. He is massaging the form with the English wheel, air hammer and anything else that helps him achieve the shape he seeks. (Photo: Mark Caron)

The third photo shows what it looked like before he cut it out of a flat sheet of steel and began working it.
