Twisting its way into the sky, Aspire bares its many facets. A spiral staircase that diminishes into nothingness, its steps becoming
steeper as it climbs (not unlike life, for some), Aspire silently speaks of the challenges in graceful planes.
With its slender profile, Aspire would beautifully complement a garden or a patio corner. Easy to transport, its steel surface
takes absolutely no care (now when was the last time you heard that!).
"Kevin is a great craftsman, and I think he understands that sculpture is about rhythm and movement. …. He has an intellectual engagement, a sense of making the sculpture work, rather than just welding things together. He's using the principles of design that have been time-honored through art history."
- Michael Stack, Professor of Art, Pima Community College East Campus, Tucson, Arizona
Aspire was on exhibit at Pima Community College East Campus, along with another in the Staircase Series, DNA for more than a year. For more on the exhibit, click here.
