Pipe Bender Close Up     24 of 84



From this angle, you can see how the pipe bender works. A hydraulic cylinder with a ram forces the metal up against two cylindrical rollers (one shown here, above the steel rod) to shape the steel. Two springs, one on each side of the cylinder, help the ram retract quickly.
