With all of the tree sections now welded together and standing, Kevin begins the long, long process of bending the steel rods to shape the trunk. He uses a rosebud tip on his oxygen-acetylene torch to heat the 1" rod to red-hot so he can bend it. He also will adjust the roots to make them look more like hands.
